Faring House

Although this famous property is in Los Angeles, the clients wanted a more traditional East Coast style of garden; no bougainvillea and no birds of paradise. To achieve the parklike serenity, I decided that the views from the house and its adjoining terrace and porches would be mainly lawn and trees and we would tuck the now traditional California activities into outdoor rooms.
